Gene Dominique’s composite silhouette, called Jeopardy, has been selected for inclusion in the Decisive Moment show coming this fall to PhotoPlace Gallery. Juror Aline Smithson also gave the image an honorable mention. The show is set for exhibition at PhotoPlace Gallery in Middlebury, VT from September 7 – 27.
Neo Serafimidis’ photograph Cornell Ave, 9:57 pm is from his Neighborhood Nights series. It was selected by juror Ann Jastrab for PhotoPlace Gallery’s Capturing the Light exhibition. It will be on display at the PhotoPlace Gallery in Middlebury, VT from July 14 to August 11, 2023, and online at the gallery website.

Ellen and Steve have been selected by gallerist/jurors Darrin Ching and Debra Klomp Ching as finalists
in the portfolio competition FRESH. Their series Bayscapes, of images from above in the San Francisco Bay salt works,
was honored. Klompching gallery, in Brooklyn, NY specializes in emerging photographers.
The related exhibition runs from September 13-October 21, 2023.

Blaze, from Weston’s series Re-envisioning, earned a fourth-place prize in The Photo Review’s 2023 International Photography Competition. The winning images will be exhibited at the Woodmere Art Museum in Philadelphia from Aug. 5 – Oct. 29th. The competition was juried by Deborah Willis, Chair of the Department of Photography & Imaging at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, MacArthur and Guggenheim Fellow. The image was shot in SF’s Mission District in March 2022.
Gene Dominique has an image in Atlanta Photography Group’s exhibition, Joy and the Everyday, juried by Jean Dykstra, Editor, Photograph Magazine, and is also an award winner!
Images from Mitch Nelles’ “Faces at Flea Markets” and Pillar Point Harbor” series have been selected by Black and White Magazine for their Excellence Award for their 2023 Portfolio Contest. The six images chosen will be published in their Special Edition Issue #161 which should be coming out in June.
Tamara’s photograph Summer Rain is in Studio Gallery’s show, On the Road, a big new show that explores the lure of travel and the open road. Classic cars meet classic locales, bikes and trains take you past roadside attractions, and even Kerouac makes an appearance. All the while 85 local artists ask the age old question, “Are we there yet?!”

Ellen and Steve are honored to have their work Hoop Houses Afray selected by juror Lisa Volpe for the show Under the Mask,
the Griffin Museum’s juried member show. In addition, the piece was awarded an honorable mention by the juror.
The show runs from April 21 – May 28, 2023 at the museum in Winchester, MA.
