Mitch Nelles’ “Shadows” black and white image has been accepted in the Coastal Arts League 2019 Member Show. Artists reception is scheduled for Sunday, December 8 from 1-4 PM at the gallery.

BAPC has a new member!
At our meeting on Nov 13 we were treated to an interesting and thought provoking portfolio from candidate Maria Budner. Subsequently Maria was warmly accepted into the collective. So we’d like for everyone to welcome her.

Jason Andrescavage is exhibiting work at Gray Loft Gallery in Jingletown (Oakland) as part of the group show of analog photography : Kindred Spirits. The show runs from October 11 to November 9, with receptions on October 11 and 12.

Curator Paula Tognarelli has selected Ellen Konar & Steve Goldband’s photo December 23 1:29 for inclusion at the Center for Photographic Art’s International Juried Exhibition in the online exhibition. The exhibition in Carmel, CA runs from November 2 to December 21, 2019.
Ellen Konar & Steve Goldband exhibit their inkjet print on handmade Kozo paper Arborescence in the Awagami International Mini Print Exhibition at Awagami’s ‘Hall of Awa Japanese Paper Museum’ in Tokushima, Japan. This work was a semi-finalist in the competition, which has predominantly been traditional woodblock, etching and lithograph until last year when digital processes have been welcomed.

Gene Dominique exhibits nine images in a show curated by Geir Jordahl. Resonance: Eleven Artists Respond to H.A.R.D at Seventy-Five; includes diverse artists invited to make artwork in response to the Hayward Area Recreation and Park District’s legacy and influence in their lives and communities.
The exhibition will be on display in the gallery at 1099 E Street, Hayward, CA from September 28 – November 28. Gallery Hours are Monday-Friday 9 am to 5 pm in the Upstairs Gallery and Monday 5-10 pm, Tuesday & Thursday 10 am-1 pm and by appointment in the Downstairs Gallery.
