Ken Hoffman will present a selection of work from his portfolio “It’s not Always About the Subject Matter” as part of a monthly lecture series held at Harvey Milk Photo Center. Ken will be one of three local photographers invited to present recent series of photographs.

Charlotte Niel will participate in The Photographic Nude at the Lightbox Photographic Gallery in Astoria, Oregon. The exhibition was juried by Robert Gojevic, founder of BLUR Magazine. Nick Winkworth’s image “Museum Kids” is included in an exhibition titled “Illuminations” sponsored by the San Diego Museum of Art Artist Guild at Poway Center for the Performing Arts, near San Diego. This exhibition includes all kinds of 2D art as well as photography. Work was selected by Alessandra Moctezuma, Gallery Director/Professor at San Diego Mesa College. Ingeborg Gerdes and Kirk Thompson, who previously had solo shows at Blue Sky Gallery, Portland, OR, are included in the gallery’s forty-year retrospective, Blue Sky: The Oregon Center for the Photographic Arts at 40, at the Portland Art Museum. The show, curated by Julia Dolan and Christopher Rauschenberg, is on exhibit at the Museum from October 18, 2014 to January 11, 2015.
