Gene Dominique in Gearbox Gallery’s “In My Backyard”

Gene Dominique’s photo Skyline III has been juried into the exhibition at Gearbox Gallery entitled In My Backyard. It runs from Thursday, August 18 until Saturday, September 10.

There will be an opening reception and artist’s talk on Saturday, August 20 from 1-4pm. 

Gearbox is located at 770 West Grand Avenue in Oakland. 

Gene Dominique in East Bay Photo Collective’s “The Night is Young”

Gene Dominique’s photo Untitled  has been juried into East Bay Photo Collective’s “The Night is Young” exhibition that will be on display at their Oakland Photo Workshop Gallery located at 312 8th Street in Oakland’s Chinatown neighborhood.

The Opening Party for the show is on Friday, August 5 from 5-8pm.

Steve Goldband in Group Show at Soho Photo Gallery

Two of Steve Goldband’s images were selected for the upcoming group show Picturing New York at Soho Photo Gallery, 15 White Street, in New York City. The show runs from August 18 to September 11.

 

Richard Dweck image selected for Triton Museum’s Salon

Richard Dweck’s photograph “Lockdown in the Holy City #4” has been accepted into this year’s Triton Museum’s Statewide 2D Competition (100 selected out of 1400 submissions).

Cindy Stokes’ Close to Home project featured at Marin Art and Garden Center

Cindy Stokes is featured in the three-person exhibition Confluence: Reflections on Our Shifting Environment at The Studio at Marin Art and Garden Center, Ross, CA. Through innovative techniques in photography, sculpture, drawing and painting, the artists Stokes, Laura Corallo-Titus and Arminee Chahbazian bring awareness to our evolving perceptions of a transforming environment.

Stokes’ Close to Home project—a site-specific installation and wall sculpture created from sculptural photographs and charcoal drawing—urges one to contemplate the ever-growing threat of wildfire while still acknowledging our dependence on and enjoyment of fire’s domesticated form.

Rusty Weston in East Bay Photo Collective’s “The Night is Young”

Two images from Rusty Weston’s photographic explorations of San Francisco nightlife were juried into East Bay Photo Collective’s “The Night is Young” exhibition. The images, called “Intake” and “Take Out” will be displayed in the group show that opens at 5 p.m. on August 5th at the Oakland Photo Workshop gallery.

Ari Salomon in Land at The Drawing Room Annex

Land at The Drawing Room Annex runs July 30 – September 4, 2022.

Ari Salomon will be participating in this group show right in his neighborhood, the Mission in San Francisco. Four images from his Rapid Express series will be exhibited.

This is a giant space that used to be a great clothing store (BetaBrand) that closed during the pandemic. The space has been “reactivated” as an art gallery with two large spaces in front and many smaller rooms in back and in a loft.
