Erin Malone participates in a group exhibition 16th Annual Fall American Photography Juried Show at the Hubbard Museum of the American West an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institute Ruidoso Downs, New Mexico. 3 pieces were accepted into the show with a pinhole landscape winning Second Place and a pinhole image from her Mission series winning Third Place.

Photographer Michael Rauner will give a lecture and show slides of his work with a question and answer period to follow.

Michael Rauner is a San Francisco-based photographer, bookmaker and installation artist. His fine art photographs have recently been published by Chronicle Books in The Visionary State: A Journey through California’s Spiritual Landscape, a collaboration with author Erik Davis.

Michael’s artistic focus is on the production of limited edition, hand-made photographic artists books that explore religion, ritual, and esoteric subcultures in the West.

Immediately after the event, BAPC members will be available to discuss what BAPC is all about, who we are, and what we do. Calumet Photographic 2001 Bryant St. San Francisco, Ca. 94110 1:30pm Admission is free.

This year’s Selections Artists were chosen by Rene de Guzman of the Oakland Museum, Eleanor Harwood of the Eleanor Harwood Gallery, and Gabe Scott of 111 Minna Gallery. Blue Sky Gallery, Portland, is showing Kirk Thompson’s Delta Blues: Isleton in Transition The project documents visual change as suburban development reaches a small Sacramento River Delta town. The project received honorable mention in the 2007 Phelan awards for California photographers.
