We are a nonprofit organization committed to building a community of photographers. Our work ranges from fine art to documentary, color to black and white, traditional darkroom to digital imaging. We nurture each other’s professional and artistic growth through member activities such as artist talks, portfolio reviews, workshops, salons, and exhibitions.

Rusty Weston places in Photo Review 2023 Competition

Blaze, from Weston’s series Re-envisioning, earned a fourth-place prize in The Photo Review’s 2023 International Photography Competition. The winning images will be exhibited at the Woodmere Art Museum in Philadelphia from Aug. 5 – Oct. 29th. The competition was juried by Deborah Willis, Chair of the Department of Photography & Imaging at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, MacArthur and Guggenheim Fellow. The image was shot in SF’s Mission District in March 2022.

Ari Salomon at Sanchez Art Center

Ari Salomon will participate in the 15th Annual 50|50 Show from Sept 8 – Oct 9. This is an annual fundraiser where the gallery invites 50 artists to each create a grid of 50 artworks. Each artwork is 6″ square. Juror is Marianna Stark. See Ari’s site for the schedule and links to ticketed and free events.

His work was also recently featured on  Lenscratch as a highlight of the Medium Photo Portfolio Reviews.

Ellen & Steve Konar-Goldband finalists in FRESH competition

Ellen and Steve have been selected by gallerist/jurors Darrin Ching and Debra Klomp Ching as finalists

in the portfolio competition FRESH. Their series Bayscapes, of images from above in the San Francisco Bay salt works,

was honored. Klompching gallery, in Brooklyn, NY specializes in emerging photographers.

The related exhibition runs from September 13-October 21, 2023.

Chris Stevens-Yu in Juried Exhibition at Black Box Gallery

Chris Stevens-Yu’s photograph Les Misérables was selected by juror Todd Johnson for inclusion in Black Box Gallery’s exhibition, Photo Shoot: 2023.

The show is on display October 1-20, 2023 at Black Box Gallery in Portland, OR and on the gallery website.

Chris Stevens-Yu Photo Exhibition at Wheelhouse of Willow Glen

Chris Stevens-Yu and Susan Harding will have a joint exhibition entitled It’s a Total Street Show at Wheelhouse of Willow Glen in San Jose, CA.

The show runs November 15 through January 10, 2024

Opening party is November 19, 3-5 pm.
